Discipleship | Small Groups
At Newfound, we take the commission from Jesus to make disciples seriously. Our goal is not just attendance to a meeting, but a transformation of our lives as we follow the teachings of Jesus. We believe discipleship is lived out in the community.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” - Hebrews 10:24-25
True discipleship involves more than learning; it means living a life marked by obedience to the way of life set forth in Scripture. The model of the early church in the New Testament demonstrates this small group community and Newfound lives out small group community through our discipleship classes such as Sunday school and other Bible studies to demonstrate:
- Loving God as we learn and obey
- Loving each other as Jesus loved us
- Loving the World through missions and outreach
We want every member of our church to have this small community place in which to grow and follow Jesus.
