ABOUT OUR SENIOR ADULTS
An integral part of our vibrant congregation the senior adults lead in many areas of church teaching, worship and fellowship. Wisdom, gentleness, stability, and faithfulness are characteristics from which “younger” church members can glean. Under the leadership of our Senior Adult Ministry Team, our seniors seek to elevate both the responsibilities of senior adults to their congregation as well as the congregation’s responsibilities to the senior adult.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Our seniors take charge in sponsoring Newfound’s many blood drives throughout the year. As a ministry of encouragement to the community, they also feed the entire faculty at Leicester Elementary once a year. Many are involved in feeding the Leicester community weekly at the Welcome Table and visiting the community’s shut-ins. We are so encouraged to see them fellowship together at organized hiking trips, luncheons and more. Check out the calendar for upcoming events for this exciting group!
Join our seniors and church congregation on Sunday mornings for small groups. Our seniors make up five of our growing Sunday School classes including two mens classes, two womens classes, and a mixed class. These groups meet from 9:45-10:45 a.m. before church-wide worship.
